That is 'hello' in Swedish.
This week we had the 'European Day of Languages' which is a day to raise the profile of language learning. As we have so many different languages spoken in our class, we decided to study a country, language and culture that few of us have experienced so we chose SWEDEN!
We had so much fun learning about the geography and culture of the country and one of our favourite activities was creating our own ice hotel.
To extend the languages which we learnt, we created advertising posters using swedish descriptive words.
Fun was had by all and Mrs Godwin managed to adapt a World Book Day costume to be Swedish National Dress!
