Science - stargazing night

On Tuesday, we had some special visitors from the Hampshire Astronomy group who came with telescopes to introduce stargazing to us.

Sadly, there was thick cloud that evening but it did not deter us as we had the use of star maps on the iPads. We were able to see all the stars above us and below us on the other side of the Earth which was incredible!

After heading in to the hall to warm up and some Hot Chocolate, we listened to a presentation about Space where we got to see some amazing photos including the actual ground of Pluto.

A great big thanks to the volunteers from the group who came as we had a wonderful experience and a lot of our burning questions were answered. It also inspired us to learn more in our topic this term.
