Each year, our class will come up with a class charter. A class charter is a set of rights and responsibilities that children and teachers have all agreed on for the classroom. (This is different to the Norwood Golden Rules, which we follow as a school.)
Class charters are created to help children understand that they have rights, how important it is to have rights and to develop their own sense of responsibilities. These are the rights we have agreed are the most important in relation to what is done in that classroom, followed by our responsibilities of how we can adhere to them.
