Day 1

We have had a great first day at Stubbington!

We were very excited on the coach and even more excited when we got to see our rooms for the first time. After our introduction and some unpacking time, we had our first meal which had 3 courses and was delicious.

After this, we gathered in the Great Chamber and discussed some of the issues that foxes in Britain face. We then became foxes and had to navigate round the Conservation area for our Stubbington Fox game, using a map to find orange triangles that gave us a question and code letter. However, we were not alone, as out in the woodland with us were Farmer Lester and Farmer Sewell! If they caught us, they gave us a stamp! Thankfully, we were able to mostly outsmart them!

Following another delicious meal, we then listened to a fascinating wildlife talk from a photographer who showed us all his amazing photos this evening. Tonight, it was the turn of our classes to visit the hide. As quiet as mice we waited, and were lucky to see badgers and foxes feasting on our leftovers. it was then time for supper before drifting off to sleep to dream of the majestic wildlife in the photos.
