Day 1
We have had a great first day at Stubbington! We were very excited on the coach and even more excited when we got to see our rooms for the first time. After our introduction and some unpacking time, we had our first meal which had 3 courses and was delicious. This afternoon, we spent it down the beach where it was incredibly windy! Whilst there, we found out about different shells including univalve and bivalve shells. There was even a shell that dug a hole in a different one where it was then sick inside of it! We also learned about longshore drift and the Victorian beach huts. Our first free time was exciting as we got to go on the adventure playground and the football pitch. We had a house challenge and a yummy dinner! This evening, we wrote our postcards so keep an eye out for them in the coming days! We were treated to a wildlife talk from Mrs Mizen who told us about animals’ signs and their habitats which was really interesting! Daintree class went to the hide where they saw three badgers, three foxes and a small field mouse! We are ready for a good night’s sleep!
