Healthy Eating

To support our learning about healthy lifestyle, we were given the challenge to pour out a bowl of cereal we thought was appropriate for a child our age. Look at the photos to see some of the sizes of our bowls. The measurements we came up with when weighed were: 15g, 100g, 85g, 35g and 30g. We were shocked to find out that child portion should weigh 25g – 30g and an adult portion should weigh 30g – 45g.

 

We then played a game where we had to guess the food from the traffic label. We were shocked to see so many foods with information in red!
