School Counselling Service

We are proud to offer access to Rachel, our dedicated School Counsellor, as part of our

commitment to supporting the wellbeing of every child. Rachel provides a safe, caring and

confidential space where children can talk about their thoughts, feelings and worries.

Through regular sessions, she helps children develop confidence, resilience and

positive strategies for managing challenges, enabling them to thrive both in school and beyond.

Having an on-site counsellor is a valuable part of our pastoral support and reflects our Vision,

Mission and Values that children's emotional wellbeing is just as important as their

academic success.

Rachel works in school every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. She runs 1:1 counselling sessions,

wellbeing check-ins, whole class lessons and parent workshops. If you feel your child would

benefit from counselling support, and isn't already working with Rachel, speak to a member of staff on the playground or email SENCO@norwoodprimary.com.

“Counselling offers children and young people a space to talk about their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment. It helps them to share any worries or problems they may have and to build their confidence and self-esteem” *Changing Pathways.org
