School Uniform Policy

At Norwood Primary School, we believe that the wearing of a School uniform encourages pride in the school, helps children to feel that they belong to the school community and helps them feel ready for work. We expect children to wear School uniform and ask parents/carers to support us in ensuring that children come to school dressed appropriately.

School uniform should be selected from the following items and can be purchased from any high street clothing shop, such as M&S, Sainsburys, Tesco or Asda - Please ensure all uniform is named especially sweatshirts and cardigans.

  • Grey or black school trousers

  • Grey or black skirts/pinafore dresses

  • Blue striped or gingham dresses (in Summer)

  • Royal blue sweatshirts or cardigans

  • White shirts/polo shirts

  • Blue, black or grey tights and socks in winter

  • Black or white socks in summer

  • Completely Black school type shoes (including branding/laces/soles) with no heels that are Leather/faux leather and polishable / sandals may be worn in the summer with socks

We encourage all children to drink water during the school day to keep them well hydrated. A named water bottle containing only water should be brought into school every day. PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN JUICE OR SQUASH.

 

PE and Sports Kits List

PE Kits are to be worn to school on your child's PE days,

  • White t-shirt

  • Blue or black shorts

  • Trainers

  • Blue/black sweatshirt/hoodie for winter and spring

  • Blue/black jogging bottoms for winter and spring

The wearing of jewellery is not permitted as rings, dangling earrings and necklaces can be dangerous. Small stud earrings and watches are allowed, but must be removed or covered for PE and sports activities. We expect long hair to be tied up and no false nails or nail varnish should be worn to School.

Used Uniform​

The PTA recycles any donations made to the school and then goes on to sell them at the Christmas Fayre, Summer Fayre and at various times during the School year.
